Introduction

Beeswax is a fatty waxy solid secreted from wax glands by worker bees in order to construct and cover the hive, and has a special smell.
Its main components are: acids, free fatty acids, free fatty alcohols and carbohydrates. In addition, there are carotenoids, vitamin A, aromatic substances and so on.

Quality Specification of EP grade beeswax filtered refined pure natural beeswax:

Solubility: Insoluble in water; sparingly soluble in alcohol; very soluble in ether

Congealing point: 62- 65°C

Acid Value: 17-22 (mg KOH/g)

Saponification Value: 87-102 (mg KOH/g)

Hydrocarbon:16%-18%
